My friend stayed at the motel for one night. The price was reasonable. I was there for a few hours. It was pretty quiet. The place seemed nice, although I thought the wall decor was a bit off-putting. The bed was massive. It came with a mini-fridge and microwave. Elkhart is a pretty small town, so no location is ever bad. It was just down the street from the main shopping area of town, and close to a couple restaurants. My brother stayed in one of the larger suites a few years ago. It had multiple rooms and was quite comfy. A pleasant surprise for such a small town.
This is a decent motel. The rooms were clean enough and the air conditioning works well. It was a good place to stay while hunting in the national grasslands.

When you're in SW Kansas, the Panhandle of Oklahoma or finding there are no motels in SE Colorado... Look no further. This mom & pop motel is a great place to stay. The rooms are large and well maintained with no smoking and pet friendly rooms available. Their second set of rooms face out onto the city park and pool, which makes it an excellent place to relax and watch the kids, or enjoy a family reunion. While the motel doesn't have a restaurant, there is the "Jim-n-I" cafe that adjoins the property which serves up a hot breakfast, lunch and dinner. The El Rancho is the place to stay in Morton county Kansas.
